The Fitzgerald and Ben hill County Development Authority has been named the Ben Hill County School System partner of the year. Ever recognizing the connection between public education and economic development, the Development Authority has been instrumental in assisting the school system in building relationships with existing manufacturers and was a key partner in the school system being awarded a $3.2 million grant for implementing the Fitzgerald High School College and Career Academy.
