Fitzgerald is strategically located in South Central Georgia and offers connections to the world via highway, rail, air and access to Georgia’s deep water ports.

Fitzgerald is only 20 miles east of I-75, 178 miles south of Atlanta’s Hartfield-Jackson Airport and 150 miles southwest of The Port of Savannah.  U.S. Highways 129 and 319 intersect in Fitzgerald providing effective logistic solutions to reach other major arterial highways within the state.  Less than a day’s accessibility to the South’s major markets gives Fitzgerald and Ben Hill County advantages for new growth and industrial expansions.

In addition to its strategic location, Fitzgerald and Ben Hill County are also home to the Fitzgerald Municipal Airport and the CSX mainline. The Fitzgerald Municipal Airport boasts more than 5,000 feet of paved, lighted runways with a parallel taxiway ans is in close proximity to our best industrial sites.  As a key destination on the CSX mainline that traverses from Savannah to Atlanta and further, Fitzgerald’s rail lines offer industry ability to move goods by rail from Fitzgerald to major domestic and global markets.
